What did you do in this type of situaton parents?

ok this is in regard to a 2 yr old and having a play date with another 2 yr old. .....When one parent gives in and lets their child have a pacifier What is the other parent supposed to do when their kid wants their pacifier when normally they dont get it until bedtime ? Do you just sit there and let your kid watch as their friend gets their pacifier even though you dont approve?
