How in case of projectile motion horizontal velocity uniform even projectile angle changes from point to point?

In projectile motion projectile angle changes point to point,so verticle velocity component decreases and increases,but the horizontal velocity component is same, how.why means as it going up projectile angle change,so the velocity horizontal component must change.but it is not happning like that.explain
