Are Christians "bigots" motivated by "hate" for affirming real marriage over counterfeit?

The Hollywood let has been on the rampage since Californians ped Proposition 8 amending the state constitution to define marriage as the mating union of one man and one woman. Is there any evidence to support their charges that Christians acted out of "hate" or are guilty of "bigotry"?
